Chapman University faculty have been seen and heard in a variety of mainstream media recently.
- The impressive earthquake research underway in Schmid College’s Center of Excellence in Earth Observing (CEEO) was featured in a front-page article last week in the Orange County Register. Schmid College Dean Menas Kafatos, Ph.D., explained the center’s cutting-edge research on earthquake forecasting and told science writer Pat Brennan that “I personally believe we will have it one day.”
- Tibor R. Machan, Ph.D., professor and holder of the R.C. Hoiles Chair in Business Ethics and Free Enterprise at the Argyros School, appeared on the Fox Business News program Freedom Watch, hosted by Judge Andrew Napolitano. He was asked to comment on “rich bashing” in a segment titled “Eat the Rich, Off With Their Heads” in a show that aired Dec. 14, during legislators’ debate over the tax-cut deal.
