Military Law Institute and AMVETS to host ‘Until Tuesday’ author for Veteran’s Day


In celebration of Veteran’s Day, the Military Law Institute and AMVETS Legal Clinic will host Capt. Luis Carlos Montalván, the
New York Times
best-selling author of
Until Tuesday: A Wounded Warrior and the Golden Retriever Who Saved Him
, Nov. 12, at 5 p.m. in the George H.W. Bush Conference Center in Beckman Hall.

Capt. Montalván, a 17-year veteran of the U.S. Army, is the recipient of a 2011 Voice Award and the 2011 Invisible Hero Honors Award for his efforts to educate the public about trauma and the real experiences of veterans and people with disabilities − to help empower them on the journey of healing.  He has written for numerous publications, including
The New York Times, Washington Post

San Francisco Chronicle

The Military Times

The Huffington Post
.  He and his faithful service dog, Tuesday, have been featured on NPR, CNN, CBS, BBC, C-SPAN, National Geographic, and The Late Show with David Letterman.
