Dr. Jennifer Waldeck
, associate professor of
communication studies
recently attended the
Centennial National Communication Association (NCA) conference  in Chicago
with a number of her department colleagues.  At the conference, she presented two papers, including one coauthored with Jennifer Bevan, associate professor of communication studies, which was designated the “top panel” in the Communication Centers Studies division.  Dr. Waldeck also participated in several roundtable discussions on her area of research interest, communication in the learning process.

Dr. Waldeck is active in NCA leadership, as well.  She attended the Instructional Development Division business meeting, where she is past chair; participated in the Committee on Committees working meeting; and participated in the Educational Policies Board (EPB) meeting.  EPB is a body of elected NCA members who work to encourage, endorse, and engage in projects related to the improvement of instruction in communication at all levels. Waldeck is completing her term on EPB in 2015.

Finally, Jennifer collaborated with contributors from across the country to her forthcoming book entitled “Consulting that Matters:  A Handbook for Scholars and Practitioners, ” which will be published by Peter Lang Press in 2015.
