Chapman University recently upgraded Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning. As with Lynda.com, LinkedIn Learning is FREE to all Chapman University students, faculty, and staff.
What is LinkedIn Learning?
LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that enables individuals and organizations to achieve their objectives and aspirations. It has all the same great content as Lynda.com, but with special insights and social engagement, only LinkedIn can offer. You can discover and develop the skills you need through a personalized, data-driven learning experience.
How do I log in?
From now on, you will start at www.linkedin.com/learning.
Click “Sign in” on the top right.
Click “Sign in with your organization account”.
Enter your Chapman email address and click “Continue”.
You may need to enter your Chapman “username” and “password” again as you pass through the single sign-on process.
If you are logging on for the first time, you will be prompted to choose whether you want to connect your LinkedIn account or not.
If you do not want to connect your account, you can choose Do not connect my account.
You will then be asked a series of questions to help curate videos for you.
Once you’ve logged in to LinkedIn Learning you can either search or browse for the course that’s right for you.

- Is the content the same on LinkedIn learning as on Lynda.com? Yes! all of the content on Lynda.com will be available on LinkedIn Learning.
- Will my Lynda.com learning history and certificates of completion get transferred to LinkedIn Learning? Yes! Your learning history and certificates of completion will be transferred from your Lynda.com account to your Linkedin Learning account.
- Do I need to connect my LinkedIn profile? No! You will have the option to connect your LinkedIn profile or create a separate Learning account during activation.
