The grant will be used for his project \u201cThe Third Religion, Economics and Society (RES) Initiative: Making the Economic Study of Religion and Religious Markets a Field of the Future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12558 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/84\/2018\/12\/Rubin_J.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"121\" height=\"143\" \/>This $325,000 grant is Dr. Rubin\u2019s third from the John Templeton Foundation and will cover his project over the next four years. The total amount that he has been awarded from the John Templeton Foundation now exceeds one million dollars, and will support over 10 years of research. Congratulations to Dr. Rubin on your continued academic and research success, and the well deserved recognition of expertise in your field.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rubin is also the author of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B01N0Y8DGK\/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&amp;btkr=1\"><em>Rulers, Religion, and Riches: Why the West Got Rich and the Middle East Did Not<\/em><\/a>, published in 2017 by Cambridge University Press. He won the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sioe.org\/news\/sioes-north-research-award-goes-jared-rubin\">Douglass North Best Book Award<\/a> from the <em>Society of Institutional and Organizational Economics<\/em> in 2018 for the best research in institutional and organizational economics published during the previous two years.
