Hunter Spriggs<\/a>, a senior Chapman University football player<\/a> and Argyros School student, is a nominee for the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year award<\/a>. Spriggs was diagnosed with leukemia in 2017 at 20 years old and thought he\u2019d miss just one season as he battled the disease. Seemingly ready to return, exhaustion and chest pain set in, symptoms of a more aggressive leukemia returning. The relapse forced his senior season to be pushed back another year, with Spriggs making his return to the field on October 19 against Occidental. His resilience and drive epitomize what makes Argyros School students so impressive, and we are proud of the accomplishments and ambition he has shown through his battle.<\/p>\n
