Gary Anderson Center for Economic Research<\/a> at Chapman University.<\/p>\n<p>The Anderson Center measures Consumer Confidence with the California Composite Index of Consumer Confidence. The index is generated based on consumers\u2019 outlook on current and future economic conditions, and an index measuring consumers\u2019 spending plan.<\/p>\n<p>In third quarter of 2012, the California Composite Index of Consumer measured at 94.2, up from the reading of 89.0 from the second quarter.
