Graduate Degree\/Year\/Concentration:\u00a0 <\/strong>B.S. – Business Administration, Finance emphasis, Real Estate emphasis with a Minor in Political Science<\/p>\n

What excites you about this new position with Goldman Sachs?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– I love assets and now I am specializing in understanding each financial instrument and determining how suitable it is for each particular investor.<\/p>\n

– I am excited that I will be working with clients. I enjoy being around people and I love to explain opportunities to people. I love that I will be able to help investors find and take advantage of the most suitable financial opportunities available for them.<\/p>\n

– I am excited to grow with this firm. The firm has the resources and the network that will allow me to work hard and grow in the company.<\/p>\n

– I am excited to get my FINRA licenses and keep diving deeper into the financial industry.<\/p>\n

How did you strategize landing this internship\/job?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– I figured out what industry and position I wanted to pursue and I applied to every open position.<\/p>\n

– I got my first internship as a rising sophomore during the summer. Ultimately it is the internships that show you what you want to do. Once you try things you realize what you are good at and what you enjoy.<\/p>\n

– I worked closely with Chapman Career advising, professors, and with professionals in the industry who were willing to guide students like me in this new stage of life.<\/p>\n

– I had to reflect deep into myself and figure out what I wanted to do, what I was good at, and what I enjoyed.<\/p>\n

– I figured out what skills I had that differentiated me from my peers. Then I identified the most efficient way to convey that to employers. (LinkedIn, Handshake, Resume, Cover letters, Interviews, Assessments, etc.)<\/p>\n

– Finally I knock on every door and pray that it will open.<\/p>\n

Give students some career advice for anyone looking for an internship\/job in this market <\/strong>(based on what you did)?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– Find what you are good at and what you enjoy.<\/p>\n

– Learn how to show this to employers.<\/p>\n

– Network and knock on every door.<\/p>\n

– Take advantage of every opportunity.<\/p>\n

– Don’t complain about the past, plan for the future, live in the present.<\/p>\n
