ESI&#8217;s Dr. Nathaniel Wilcox, has also been involved with analysis of data that Dr. Eric Schniter collected concerning the recognition of experts among Tsimane.&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\nIn addition to investigating health, the Tsimane (Health and Life History) Project also tests Life History Theory which is concerned with the strategic scheduling of an organism&#8217;s reproduction and production across the lifespan. The optimal scheduling of growth, reproduction, and production among indigenous people in subsistence societies involves many tradeoffs &#8211; and the study of these tradeoffs is of interests to economists as well as biologists and anthropologists.&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/09\/25\/health\/in-the-bolivian-amazon-a-yardstick-for-modern-health.html?pagewanted=1&amp;_r=2ref=science\">Check out the article to learn more about the project and what researchers are learning. <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 24th, the New York Times featured &#x201C;In Bolivian Amazon, a Yardstick for Modern Health&#x201D;
