Similar travel courses to the Silicon Valley and Brazil were also offered. Joining the Wall Street group for a portion of the trip this year was Reggie Gilyard, the new dean of ASBE.<\/p>\n<p>Such experiences are invaluable, students say.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is very rare for companies and executives to take in large groups and spend close to two hours of their time discussing their career paths, career advice, inner-workings of their firm, and most interesting to me, the day-to-day responsibilities of their job. Learning about the daily work of an investment banker focused on mergers and acquisitions is something that simply can\u2019t be taught in the classroom.
