Clear expectations, strategic planning, mastering academic time management, maintaining work-life balance, and cultivating a healthy support system are essential to thriving in academe. The \u201cPathways\u201d program includes a series of six focused sessions and additional support opportunities throughout the academic year, all designed to provide the information, perspectives, strategies, and support needed to successfully prepare for the critical year review, promotion, and tenure at Chapman.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"sidequote-right\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">What faculty said about last year&#8217;s Pathways program:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>CETL\u2019s Productive Pathways to Promotion program offers professionally curated learning experience. The organizers provided rich and informative materials that helped me rebuild and rethink my teaching content and style. The organizers were efficient, supportive, and responsive, making the experience enriching and impressively well-organized<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Pathways is a great resource to learn more about the RTP process, meet wonderful people, and extend your network inside Chapman. And we have a good time!<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThese sessions were extremely useful. They helped me understand the process of promotion better and I feel much more prepared now!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I just submitted my CY2 packet and the workshops and materials were instrumental for writing my teaching statement and reflection.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Who Can Attend:<\/strong>\u00a0Full-time, early career TT and NTT faculty. Mid-career faculty are welcome to attend any session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When:\u00a0<\/strong>The second Friday of every month; 12:00-1:00pm; lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration information and additional details will be provided prior to each session.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Spring 2025 Sessions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Session #4: Telling Your Story: <\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>The Teaching Narrative<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Learn tips for how to align your narrative and artifacts to tell the story of who you are as a teacher, as well as demonstrate teaching effectiveness and efforts towards continuous improvement (i.e., Course Evals and Grade Report).<\/p>\n<p>Guest Speaker: Kelly Fuery, Professor, <span class=\"replace\">Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Friday, February 14, 12:00-1:00pm<\/p>\n<p>Location: Orange Campus, Sandhu Conference D with live stream to Rinker in CC 130<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session #5: Strike a Balance: Productivity and Self-Care<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Explore the relationship between self-care and productivity. When is enough, enough? How do you prioritize self-care and also meet the expectations for teaching excellence, scholarship, and service?
