The focus of this year\u2019s conference is transparency, a practice that \u201cunlocks disciplinary and pedagogical codes\u201d so that students understand our motivations, expectations, and aspirations for their work (Felten &amp; Finley, 2019, viii;). This approach has proven to enhance students\u2019 sense of belonging, confidence, retention, metacognition, and critical thinking\u00a0(Calkins &amp; Winkelmes, 2018).<\/p>\n<p>Join us to learn about how to increase clarity in your assessments without compromising the desired cognitive challenge.
