\nThis Saturday, April 11, 2015, is Slow Art Day! It is one day every year in which people visit local museums and galleries all over the world to really take their time to look at art slowly. The idea is that each person should look at five works of art for 10 minutes each, and then meet up with other participants to talk about the experience, usually over lunch. Although we are not hosting a specific event here at Chapman, we encourage you to either go to one of the participating museums nearby (here is a list of all participating museums<\/a>), or just head to Beckman Hall on Chapman’s campus, and celebrate Slow Art Day yourself, or bring a group of friends!<\/p>\n

Here is a list of a few paintings in Beckman Hall that we think would be perfect for your Slow Art Day viewing.<\/p>\n
