Artists from our Escalette Collection of Art are frequently featured in galleries, exhibitions, art fairs, and beyond. \u00a0This month, we have three top exhibitions on our radar within Southern California:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00a0Soo Kim and Chris Nathrop in Paperworks<\/a> at the Craft and Folk Art Museum<\/a>, on view until January 3, 2016.<\/li>\n
  2. Frank Gehry<\/a> retrospective at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art<\/a>, on view through March 20, 2016.<\/li>\n
  3. Selections: Robert Rauschenberg<\/a> at the Orange County Museum of Art<\/a>, on view through October 11, 2015.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Our Chapman pride reaches all the way to the East Coast, too, as artist-alum Michael Reafsnyder<\/a>‘s latest work is on view in his solo exhibition at Ameringer-McEnry-Yohe<\/a> in New York City. \u00a0Another artist in our collection<\/a>, Todd Hebert<\/a>, also has an exhibition at the same gallery; both shows run until October 10, 2015.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    This past month, two more of our artists, John Bal<\/a>dessari<\/a> and Ann Hamilton<\/a>, were honored as\u00a0recipients of the 2014 National Medal of the Arts<\/a>. \u00a0The award was presented by President Barack Obama to 11 recipients for their outstanding achievements in the arts; Hamilton and Baldessari were each selected for their challenging and innovative work in visual arts.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    2. Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenistic World<\/a> at The Getty Center<\/a>, on view until November 1, 2015.<\/li>\n
    3. Modern Twist: Contemporary Bamboo Art<\/a> at Bowers Museum<\/a>, on view until January 3, 2016.<\/li>\n
    4. Yayoi Kusama\u2019s\u00a0Infinity Mirrored Room\u2014The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away\u00a0<\/em>in The Inaugural Installation<\/a> at The Broad<\/a>, on view until January 17th, 2016.<\/li>\n
    5. Independent Visions: Women Artists of California 1880-1940<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>at Irvine Museum, on view from October 3, 2015 through January 21, 2016.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
