Lambda Pi Eta c<span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">reates opportunities to gain leadership skills, resume material, and insight into the realm of Communication academically, professionally, and personally. The organization\u00a0<\/span>works closely with their faculty advisor, Dr. Arleen Bejerano, and different student programs in the School of Communication, like the SoC Trailblazer program, Chapman Radio, and the Student Advisory Board.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Lambda Pi Eta?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Lambda Pi Eta is the National Communication Association\u2019s official honor society at four-year colleges and universities nationwide. There are more than\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0500 active chapters in 47 states.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is eligible to join?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are a Communication Studies major, Strategic and Corporate Communication major or Global Communication &amp; World Languages major, you may be eligible to join Lambda Pi Eta. We also strongly encourage involvement from students who may not yet be eligible\u00a0but are working toward eligibility (i.e. sophomores, or students with a\u00a0GPA less than 3.0).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body\"><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Students who have Completed at least 60 semester units and 12 credits in Communication Studies courses<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body\"><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body\"><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Students with a \u00a0major GPA of at least 3.3<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What does the organization do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Create opportunities to gain leadership skills, resume material, and insight into the realm of Communication academically, professionally, and personally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are some examples of Lambda Pi Eta Events &amp; Programs?\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Resume and professional development workshops<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Internship, independent study, alumni, faculty, and graduate student panels<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Class registration workshops<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Do you want to get involved?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications are accepted every semester!\u00a0The application period is opening soon, and the application deadline will be March 8th, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Apply here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/communication\/lambda-pi-eta-application-form.aspx\">https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/communication\/lambda-pi-eta-application-form.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"WdYUQQ text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"><strong>Already a member?<\/strong> Lambda Pi Eta is looking for new officers!
