Their events <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are meant<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to foster a sense of community at the university and the School of Communication. One of the organization&#8217;s goals is to develop a narrative of pride and strength in being a first-generation student.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is a first-generation student?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A first-generation college student is defined as a student whose parent(s)\/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor\u2019s degree. This means that you are the first person in your family to attend a four-year college\/university to attain a bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Who can go to SoC Trailblazer Program events?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Every Chapman student, even if not a first-generation student or a School of Communication major, is welcome to attend SoC Trailblazer Program events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What are some examples of events the SoC Trailblazer Program hosts?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Networking workshops<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Internship workshops<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">First-generation faculty and student socials<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Financial literacy workshops<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Alumni panels<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What type of resources does the SoC Trailblazer
