Hi everyone! My name is Chloe, and I am serving as the President of the School of Communication Student Advisory Board for the 2025\/2026 school year, and I have had the privilege to be a part of the board since my first year here at Chapman! I\u2019m a Senior majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Leadership Studies, and I recently began my Master\u2019s in Leadership Development with an emphasis in Higher Education here at Chapman – and will graduate with my master’s in Spring 2027!<\/span><\/p>\n

I chose Chapman for many reasons! One of the biggest was its strong program for communication majors. I love that the classes are interactive and engaging rather than solely lecture-based. I also really value Chapman\u2019s location – it\u2019s just 25 minutes from home, close to the Honda Center and Angels Stadium, and surrounded by great food and coffee spots. Most importantly, when I was exploring colleges, Chapman stood out as such a welcoming and supportive community. I\u2019ve found so many spaces on campus where I\u2019ve built lasting friendships. Chapman truly checked all the boxes I was looking for in a university, and I\u2019m so glad I chose to call it home.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I was choosing colleges, Chapman stood out to me because of its strong Communication program, welcoming campus culture, and the sense of community I felt right away. I was also drawn to the interactive, discussion-based learning style in the School of Communication, which I knew would help me grow both academically and personally. Since arriving at Chapman, I\u2019ve become involved in a variety of leadership roles, including serving as President of the School of Communication Student Advisory Board and the First-Generation Program, as well as working with Student Engagement and Residence Life & First Year Experience. Each of these experiences has allowed me to connect with students, support incoming Panthers, and contribute to building a stronger Chapman community. What I enjoy most about being in the School of Communication is the accessibility and support of the professors. They genuinely care about their students\u2019 success and create an environment where learning feels collaborative, practical, and meaningful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout my time at Chapman, I\u2019ve been deeply involved across campus. I\u2019ve served as President and Director of Marketing for the School of Communication First-Generation Program, School of Communication Senator for Chapman’s Student Government Association, and an Orientation Leader for two years. I\u2019m also a proud member of Lambda Pi Eta. Currently, I work as the Orientation Coordinator for Marketing, and I\u2019ve previously held roles as a Student Involvement Coach and as a First-Year Experience Peer Advisor!<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking ahead, I hope to continue expanding my leadership and communication skills in Higher Education work, Marketing, HR or Non-profit work while I pursue graduate studies and future career opportunities. My time at Chapman has been an incredibly rewarding experience that has allowed me to serve in meaningful leadership roles, build lasting connections with peers and faculty, and engage in opportunities that challenged me to grow both personally and professionally. Chapman\u2019s supportive and collaborative environment has encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, strengthen my confidence, and discover the impact I can make within the School of\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Communication and the broader Chapman community.<\/span><\/p>\n
