{"id":1459,"date":"2018-11-28T19:50:57","date_gmt":"2018-11-28T19:50:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogschapman.wpenginepowered.com\/community-relations\/2018\/11\/28\/ousd-master-teachers-honored-for-training-chapman-students\/"},"modified":"2018-11-28T19:50:57","modified_gmt":"2018-11-28T19:50:57","slug":"ousd-master-teachers-honored-for-training-chapman-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/community-relations\/2018\/11\/28\/ousd-master-teachers-honored-for-training-chapman-students\/","title":{"rendered":"OUSD &#039;Master Teachers&#039; Honored for Training Chapman Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group of trained Master Teachers from 22 schools in the Orange Unified School District has received the Friends of Attallah College Award for their work mentoring future teachers from Chapman University.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dedication and efforts of OUSD for our students, staff, faculty and alumni have left a lasting impact, and we deeply appreciate the collaboration, leadership and hard work,\u201d said Margaret Grogan, Ph.D., dean of Chapman\u2019s Donna Ford Attallah College of Educational Studies.<\/p>\n<p>Master Teachers work with teacher candidates in elementary, middle and high schools, guiding them and\u00a0co-teaching with them as they complete their training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChapman stands out amongst our university collaborators as a true partner, seeking to understand the needs of our community and create a two-way dialogue on how to best prepare educators to maximize the potential of every student in our district,\u201d said Raeanne Little, OUSD induction coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChapman students bring an infectious optimism and energy to our campuses.
