Each year, groups of students spend two semesters creating a short documentary about today\u2019s most relevant, national social issues. This year, the theme was AMERICAN IDENTITY. We are thrilled to unveil this year\u2019s films at our final screening, which will be followed by a panel with the filmmakers and a reception featuring delicious, FREE food. The screening is at Dodge College, 283 North Cypress Street, Orange, CA 92866. On street parking is available. No RSVP necessary. Prieto-Vald\u00e9s, Dany Zavala, Jacinta Filaci, Peng Wang<\/strong><br \/>\nA powerful and triumphant look at two union labor activists in New York City.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LADYLIKE by Lidieth Arevalo Hernandez, Rachel Bickert, Emma Wang, Emily Tapanes<\/strong><br \/>\nA young queer woman in the American south comes to terms with her sexuality, shattering her deep-rooted religious beliefs and cultural stereotypes within her conservative community, family and self.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THAT WAS RAY by Kaustubh Singh, Derek Wan, Brenten Brandenburg, Jordan Gorman <\/strong><br \/>\nA historical documentary featuring the life of Ray Broshears, creator of the Lavender Panthers, a militant, gay activist group in the 1970\u2019s Bay Area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AMERICAN NATION by Jack Belisle, Gabe Knoos-Newton, Sea Liu, Ragini Bhasin<\/strong><br \/>\nA short film featuring the challenges faced by American Samoans in Salt Lake City as they strive to become U.S. citizens in this controversial time in our nation\u2019s immigration history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DIVIDED by Ben Allen, Brynne McKee, Jack Mullinkosson, Jackie Palacios<\/strong><br \/>\nAn examination of the national divide between blue and red, as experienced by two queer women in different parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SLAB CITY by Prateek Damodaren, Danylo Hauk<\/strong><br \/>\nA portrait of Slab City, an encampment located near the Salton Sea, and the people who are created lives there\u2014 off the grid.<\/p>\n<p><em>With many thanks to the Dhont Family Foundation for their generous support of the Community
