Whether you are a seasoned Ph. D. or a curious novice, join us at ChapmanU Science on Tap, hosted by the <span style=\"color: #a50034\"><a style=\"color: #a50034\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/scst\/index.aspx\">Schmid College of Science and Technology<\/a><\/span>, to enjoy good beverages, good food, and captivating conversation.\u00a0 This event is free and open to the public, and we encourage the community to partake in our moderated discussions featuring experts who explore the intersection of science and culture.\u00a0 Science on Tap is hosted at <span style=\"color: #a50034\"><a style=\"color: #a50034\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ChapmanCrafted\/\">Chapman Crafted<\/a><\/span> at 6:00 PM and all ages are welcome.\u00a0 Beer is available for purchase for those who are 21 and over.<\/p>\n<p><a features a variety of speakers prepared to share their knowledge on some of the science world\u2019s most fascinating emerging topics and foster engaging discussions.<\/p>\n<p>November\u2019s discussion, taking place on the 4<sup>th<\/sup>, will feature Dr. Angel Miles Nash on the topic of <span style=\"color: #a50034\"><a style=\"color: #a50034\" href=\"https:\/\/events.chapman.edu\/76971\">\u201cOur S.T.E.A.M. for STEM: Situating and Teaching Equity, Access, and Mindsets in STEM Education.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0<\/span> With her experience studying how race and gender affect educational contexts, Nash will open eyes to the privilege present in our school system and how to cultivate equality in STEM education.<\/p>\n<p>On January 13<sup>th<\/sup>, Tanjia Anderson of Beckman Coulter will present <span style=\"color: #a50034\"><a style=\"color: #a50034\" href=\"https:\/\/events.chapman.edu\/76972\">\u201cAutomating the modern-day diagnostic laboratory\u201d<\/a><\/span> based on her experience in the industry of biomedical testing.<\/p>\n<p>February 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u2019s session will feature Dr. Dhanya Nair from Fowler School of Engineering speaking on the subject of<span style=\"color: #a50034\"> <a style=\"color: #a50034\" href=\"https:\/\/events.chapman.edu\/76973\">\u201cHaptics based assistive technology: Beyond audio &amp; visual sensations.\u201d<\/a><\/span>\u00a0 Her research centers on the development of tactile assistive technology with close attention to the effects of human touch.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Fred Caporaso will lead March 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u2019s discussion with the very proper topic of <span style=\"color: #a50034\"><a style=\"color: #a50034\" href=\"https:\/\/events.chapman.edu\/76974\">\u201cBeer and the Science of Flavor.\u201d<\/a><\/span>\u00a0 With seasoned experience in sensory evaluation, food flavor, off-flavor, and food quality &amp; preference, Dr. Caporaso will stimulate in-depth conversation on the flavor of beer as it is simultaneously enjoyed by those partaking in the discussion.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #a50034\"><a style=\"color: #a50034\" href=\"https:\/\/events.chapman.edu\/76975\">closing session<\/a> <\/span>of Science on Tap\u2019s 5<sup>th<\/sup> season will take place on April
