and Palm Traffic Signal Installation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Lemon Street and Palm Avenue Traffic Signal Installation Project is scheduled to start on Nov. 30, 2020.\u00a0 The installation of a traffic signal will facilitate safe pedestrian crossings by assigning right-of-way to both pedestrians and vehicular traffic.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The new signal operation at the intersection includes a pedestrian scramble.\u00a0 This means all vehicles are stopped to allow pedestrians to safely cross the intersection in any direction including diagonally.\u00a0 This will allow for smoother and more efficient intersection operation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The installation of the traffic signal features decorative poles consistent with the Old Towne design standard.\u00a0 The installation of traffic signal equipment includes cabinet, controller, service, surveillance camera, emergency vehicle preemption, safety lighting, vehicle and pedestrian signal heads and illuminated LED street name signs.\u00a0 Installment will also include an ADA-compliant sidewalk access ramp, an Audible Pedestrian System and new signing and striping.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The construction will occur from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.\u00a0 The project will last approximately 45 calendar days.\u00a0 The schedule may shift due to inclement weather, material supply issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Construction activities will take place at the intersection of Lemon Street and Palm Avenue and the immediate vicinity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Through traffic will be maintained in the northbound and southbound directions at all times.\u00a0 If necessary, partial roadway closure along the eastbound and westbound directions may be provided for public safety and governed by certain field conditions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We look
