To be, or not to be… Questions answered at “Hamlet” symposium
Announced on February 17, 2015
Chapman University’s panel of experts will reveal the answers to your myriad questions about Shakespeare’s Hamlet (opens Thursday, February 19 in Waltmar Theatre) during an engaging public symposium in the theatre just prior to the show on Thursday, February 26.
Regarded as one of the greatest works in English literature, the drama is rich in history, tradition, and universal themes facing the human condition. Dr. Kent Lehnhof from the Department of English, Dr. Jocelyn Buckner from the Department of Theatre, and our student dramaturgs, Peyton Ashby and Morgan Green will offer some helpful introductory information about the play and then take your questions beginning at 6:00 p.m.
This event is presented as part of Chapman University’s Shakespeare Reimagined semester-long series of events celebrating the works of William Shakespeare through music, film, theatre and dance. The symposium is open to the public and admission is free. For information about performance dates and tickets, visit chapman.edu/tickets or call (714) 997-6812.
