The film was recently awarded <\/span><b>Best Documentary at the Croatia International Film Festival,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a momentous achievement for a project that originated right here at Chapman.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The documentary\u2014narrated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000906\/\">Annette Bening<\/a> and featuring performances by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000368\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laura Dern<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm5123156\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kelvin Harrison Jr.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0355910\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael\u202fC. Hall<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and others\u2014<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">brings to life real wartime letters spanning from the American Revolution to today. Its origins trace back to the CoPA stage production, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If All the Sky Were Paper <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2018), which was developed from these same letters and co-created by Professor Benitz and Andrew Carroll, founder of the Legacy Project.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe meaningful project for me since the beginnings at Chapman&#8230; Now that the film is getting traction, I\u2019m hopeful more people will be as moved and changed by these war letters as I have himself was nominated for <\/span><b>Best Director of a Feature Documentary at the Woodstock Film Festiva<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">l, and the film was a <\/span><b>finalist for the Library of Congress Lavine\/Ken Burns Prize for Film<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, earning $25,000 in funding. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Behind the Lines<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has also received widespread media attention, including features in <\/span><a
