CoPA student Karli Jean Lonnquist (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/copa\/theatre\/academic-programs\/ba-theatre.aspx?network=g&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=13912617068&amp;gbraid=0AAAAABaBCddCHIjLE9B4UPrq0cpoAFj3_&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwntHPBhAaEiwA_Xp6RrfnRh-mTp5fF9ZZrmPbn_41ibB-o5Y5LnEwXwkOW3w3I3exyhRgTxoCDzAQAvD_BwE\">BA Theatre<\/a>, BA Peace &amp; Justice Studies, \u201826) has partnered with industry professional and Incubator judge Steven Sass to launch Dale\u2019s Studio Theater, a nonprofit dedicated to accessibility and inclusion in the performing arts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea for Dale\u2019s Studio Theater was developed during CoPA\u2019s Incubator Program, where students collaborate with industry mentors to bring creative concepts to life. The Incubator Program took place during Chapman\u2019s 2026 Interterm session, which is an optional, intensive four-week academic session held in January between the Fall and Spring semesters. Named after Dale, an individual who deeply influenced Karli\u2019s perspective, the theater aims to create a space where disabled artists are not only included, but centered and celebrated. Dale\u2019s Studio Theater will focus on providing accessible venues, inclusive programming, and expanded opportunities for artists of all abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Karli, the project is deeply personal and reflects both her experiences and her vision for a more inclusive arts community.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDale&#8217;s Studio Theater has been on the back of my mind for the last five years, and it is surreal to see my vision finally begin to take shape. I remember telling my parents about the earliest version of my dream for this nonprofit in the car on my way home from the camp where I met Dale back in 2021, and knowing that my dream is coming true in 2026 seems unbelievable. Launching Dale&#8217;s feels like stepping into alignment with the work I\u2019m meant to be doing, which is investing in the inclusive, accessible artistic community that I think all theatre
