will be traveling the country as well as honing their skills on the Chapman campus in January 2013.&#xA0;&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\nThe New York Theatre Tour will allow theatre students to analyze the interconnectedness of local and global influences within the New York theatre community, as well as evaluate strategies for pursuing a successful career as a New York stage actor.&#xA0; The Department of Dance will be presenting its<br \/>\n<em>Dance On Tour<\/em><br \/>\n performance, directed by Associate Professor Alicia Guy and performed by the Chapman University Dance Ensemble for local high schools and community colleges.&#xA0; This unique lecture\/demonstration performance hopes to entertain as well as educate students on the multiple possibilities of the choreographic process. &#xA0;&#xA0;And both choral and instrumental music students will tour with several music faculty members in parts of California and Nevada, recruiting high school students for our programs and presenting a series of community concerts.&#xA0;&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\nOn the Chapman campus, guest faculty member Jeralyn Refeld will return for a musical theatre technique intensive, culminating in a performance featuring solo and ensemble numbers highlighting the works of Irving Berlin and Jerome Kern.&#xA0; Ms. Refeld is a celebrated artist who is known as a &#x201C;Mozart singer of the first order&#x201D; in many of the great opera houses in Europe and the United States.&#xA0;&#xA0; The student performance will be Friday, January 25 at 7:30pm.&#xA0; In addition, on January 26 the Department of Theatre will present the second pre-professional workshop of<br \/>\n<em>Helldrivers of Daytona <\/em><br \/>\nby Mark Saltzman, music by Berton Averre and lyrics by Rob Meurer.&#xA0; This new rock musical will be explored in an interterm course and directed by Todd Nielsen, who most recently directed<br \/>\n<em>Company<\/em><br \/>\n for Chapman.&#xA0; Visit<br
