\nCurrent music students Joy Liu ’15 and Christina Cheon ’14 have been awarded scholarships to attend the Percussive Arts Society’s International Convention (PASIC) this November in Indianapolis, Indiana.  
\nJoy was awarded the James Sewrey scholarship, and Christina the George Contreas scholarship.<\/a>
\n
\n
\nThese scholarships pay for the students’ registration for PASIC, as well as $500 towards expenses (travel & accommodation).  Within the percussion community, these awards are highly competitive (nation-wide), and scholarship winners are recognized and celebrated at the convention at a special gala.  In addition, their names, pictures, and short bios will be released in a PAS newsletter.
