Chapman University\u2019s Stroke Boot Camp was held on campus last\u00a0June and was\u00a0the subject of a page-one feature in The Los Angeles Times<\/em>, Tuesday, August 13, 2013.\u00a0For stroke survivors, the 10-day boot camp is a chance to strengthen not just mind and body but also communal bonds.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike at any summer camp, people blossom, lose their fears, find strength they didn\u2019t know they had and make new friends,\u201d writes reporter Mary MacVean.<\/p>\n

Now in its third year, the camp gives students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Chapman University a dose of clinical experience and provides stroke survivors intensive rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
