This week our Physician Assistant students volunteered at RAD Camp (Rising Above Disability) in Costa Mesa. Established in 2014, RAD Camp was created to empower people, shining a light on each as an individual with unique and amazing abilities, regardless of disability, diagnosis or description. They offer a series of overnight weekend and summer camp programs every year. Each camper is paired one-to-one with a dedicated counselor who has been thoroughly background checked, completed a full training program and is overseen by team leaders who have been with RAD for 3 years or more. This included swabbing counselors and campers for COVID during registration, a vital step in keeping everyone healthy and safe.
