All Chapman Psychology majors begin in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/crean\/academic-programs\/undergraduate-programs\/ba-psychology.aspx\">B.A. in Psychology<\/a> program. As they progress through the major, students can choose to continue pursuing the B.A. or apply to transition into the B.S. program, typically during their junior year.<\/p>\n<p>Students interested in the B.S. pathway apply during a designated application period, generally during the spring semester. Admission requirements include a <strong>3.5 GPA across PSY 101, PSY 201, PSY 203, PSY 204 and PSY 333<\/strong>, along with an application essay. Students interested in applying are encouraged to speak with their academic advisor for current application requirements, timelines and guidance.<\/p>\n<h3>Why choose the B.S. in Psychology?<\/h3>\n<p>The B.S. makes sense for a student who enjoys <strong>research, statistics, data and the scientific side of psychology<\/strong>.
