Safe Space workshops designed for faculty & staff who are seeking to support LGBTQIA+ communities on campus will resume for the spring semester on the following dates:

  • Orange Campus – Thursday, March 12 – 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Rinker Campus – Friday, March 20 – 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Orange Campus – Tuesday, April 21 – 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.  

This is an educational intervention designed to  support all members of the LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, and all underrepresented sexual, gender, and/or romantic identities) campus community.

The workshop will engage participants with definitions, terms, symbols, and experiences from LGBTQIA+ students about campus climate, identity development,  the practice of allyship, ways to provide visible support, and resources for the LGBTQIA+ communities. The result of which hopes to foster a welcoming and safe climate for all LGBTQIA+ community members at Chapman. 

Faculty, staff, and administrators interested in attending can RSVP by completing the Google registration form here. Locations will be provided upon registration confirmation, space is limited to 20 folks per workshop.
