The 14th annual Dallas International Film Festival, powered by Capital One, is hosting the “Broaden Your Horizons” screenwriting competition, presented by Event Horizon Films. The Dallas International Film Festival offers writers the opportunity to submit scripts for feature films, television pilots, and short films which will be reviewed by readers at top Hollywood talent agencies and management companies, such as:

  • CAA
  • Gersh Agency
  • Innovative Artists
  • Circle of Confusion
  • Buchwald

The Grand Prize Winner will receive:

  • $1,000 prize money for feature/ $500 prize money for TV and short
  • A writer’s enrichment retreat on Carnival Cruise Line
  • Professional consultations from our high-profile judges
  • A Dallas International Film Festival Star Pass

Runners Up will receive:

  • $500 prize money for feature/ $250 prize money for TV and short
