Learn VFX from Oscar-winner Richard Edlund (STAR WARS) – Apply to be a Pankey Scholar

We are now accepting applications for the spring 2018 Pankey Distinguished Artist program. This semester, our talented filmmaker is the multiple-Oscar winning Visual Effects Supervisor Richard Edlund. Edlund has supervised visual effects on such mega-hits as Star Wars IV – A New Hope; Star Wars V- The Empire Strikes Back; Star Wars VI – Return Of The Jedi; Raiders Of The Lost Ark; Ghostbusters; and 21 Jump Street, to name a few.
If selected to participate as a Pankey Scholar, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with one of Hollywood’s finest filmmakers as well as participate in one of many weekly dinners. Applicants should have a work in progress, either a screenplay, a concept in development for an animated or visual effects project, or footage suitable for an episodic form to work on during the semester. If selected, students will meet individually with Edlund for an hour every other Wednesday (between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m).
