Congratulations to our alumni and their successes at the festivals in Park City, Utah. This has been an extraordinary beginning to the new year and we look forward to celebrating many more accomplishments from our current students and alum in the coming months.

 

U.S. Documentary Grand Jury Prize Award: Kailash, directed by Derek Doneen (BFA.FP ’09).

Grand Jury Narrative Feature Award & The Audience Narrative Feature Award: Rock Steady Row, directed by Trevor Stevens (BFA.FP ’15).

Congratulations to Carlos López Estrada (BFA.FP) director of Blindspotting, which was purchased by Lionsgate for rights of global distribution.

The film Funny Story had its world premiere at this year’s Slamdance Film Festival. Many Dodge College alums worked on the film, including producer/actress Jana Winternitz (BFA.SCAC).

Lastly, Alex Italics (BFA.FP ’15 MFA) competed with his official selection short Order of the Orchid in the Anarchy Shorts Competition at Slamdance.
