Without the camera, the director gets to focus solely on performance, the editor can work without time constraints and experiment with the rhythm of dialogue, and the writer is forced to work through dialogue and creative storytelling to overcome obstacles of exposition.

There are many other roles involved with production, and each one customized to this unique revitalization of the medium. By working without visuals, the aural creative process strengthens the areas that are often minimized.
