Announced on March 8, 2018
Meet Newport Beach Film Festival CEO, Gregg Schwenk, Tuesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. in MKS 132. Schwenk will talk about the festival and the discounts available for Chapman students. Presented by the PR and Advertising Association.
Mark your calendars – festival tickets go on sale beginning April 1.
The Newport Beach Film Festival seeks enthusiastic film lovers to volunteer for Orange County’s annual celebration of cinema. The 19th annual Festival runs April 26—May 3, 2018.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in multiple aspects of the festival. Volunteer positions include guest relations, merchandise sales, theater ushering, event operations and office reception. Work as few as 4 hours, or as many as you like!
Prior to the festival, volunteers must attend at least one mandatory orientation meeting. 2018 meeting dates TBD. The meeting provides an overview of festival activities, as well as updated information on positions and volunteer responsibilities. Volunteers will have the opportunity to sign up for specific shifts at the meeting.
Volunteers under 18 years old must submit a signed parental consent form. A parent/guardian must accompany volunteers under the age of 16. Whether you are young, or young-at-heart, we need you!
All volunteers receive a discount on film festival tickets, and the majority become eligible for other incentives, such as an exclusive volunteer screening, a volunteer gift bag, limited edition merchandise and even a year-long membership to the Orange County Film Society. Our Most Valuable Volunteer (MVV) will be awarded a package worth nearly $500!
As a non-profit organization, the Newport Beach Film Festival wouldn’t be able to bring such an amazing event to life without the help of our volunteers. Now is the time to apply! Head to www.newportbeachfilmfest.com/volunteer for more information or to apply.
