We are currently accepting applications for awards associated with our upcoming Women in Focus Conference on Friday, April 3, 2020. Each organization that sponsors these awards chooses to encourage women in the film industry. For this reason, all applicants must be female. Undergrad and graduate students producing films for the 2020-2021 academic year are encouraged to apply. Funds may only be applied to a thesis project.

Depending on your qualifications, your application will be considered for one of the following awards:

Entertainment Partners Excellence in Producing Award – $1,500 each
Awarded to two female producing students for demonstrated excellence in the producing program to assist with the production costs of their thesis film project. This award is open to undergrad and graduate level thesis projects.

Meredith MacRae Memorial Award – $2,500
Awarded to a female graduate student demonstrating excellence in acting, producing, and directing to assist with thesis production costs.

Zonta Award – $3,000 each
Awarded to four female students who have demonstrated the skills and qualifications to excel in the film industry with additional consideration given to a student whose film project helps to raise awareness of women’s issues. This award is open to all disciplines and both undergrad and graduate level thesis projects.

The project’s director or producer will be asked to accept the award at the annual Women in Focus Luncheon on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. No exceptions will be made.

Applications are due Friday March 6, at 5 p.m.
