Frost<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, producer <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nana Greenwald<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">writer-director <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tamar Halpern<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, animator <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">David Kuhn <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and broadcast journalist <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">May Lee <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">have been hired as full-time faculty at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, the No. 4-ranked film school in the nation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">These highly regarded <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">professionals \u2014 who have worked on some of the most prominent film and television projects of the past 20 years, including the Harrison Ford starrer <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Fugitive<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, David Fincher\u2019s <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Seven<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and Disney\u2019s <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Pocahontas<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u2014 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">will assume their new roles on Monday, Aug. 28, at the start of the 2023-24 academic year.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cThis is an awe-inspiring group of teachers, whose range of experience adds a wealth of valuable knowledge to our already-impressive faculty,\u201d said Stephen Galloway, dean of Dodge College. \u201cI can only wish I\u2019d had professors like this when I was in film school.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Russell Boast<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, CSA, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">head of casting and co-head of the Screen Acting program at Dodge College, is a former <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">president of the Casting Society of America. He <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">has worked as an independent casting director for<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> all the major Hollywood networks and studios<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for more than two decades<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">. Recent casting credits include the upcoming feature films <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Park Avenue<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Fresh Kills<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">.\u202f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">In his new role at Dodge, Boast will teach students the art and craft of casting. He will <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">also <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">oversee casting for all undergraduate and graduate thesis films, connecting students to Screen Actors Guild members as well as independent casting directors.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Annabelle K. Frost, <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">assistant professor of producing, is a talented multihyphenate producer, writer, director and post-production producer who has worked in theater, film and television. Her small-screen credits include <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Undercovers<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">God Friended Me <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">and<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Gotham<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, on which she directed and also built a successful post department from the ground up<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">. <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">As a writer-director, she created the short film <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">G[R]O[W]ING Up<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, which premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival. She is a graduate of American Film Institute.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134245417&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Nana Greenwald<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, assistant professor of producing, has worked as an executive and producer in Hollywood for more than 20 years, including on such high-profile projects as <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">North Country<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Outbreak<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">The Fugitive<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Seven<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">. She has served as chair of the BFA film program at Brooks Institute and was previously associate dean and director of the BFA creative producing program at Chapman University\u2019s worldwide campus in Singapore. Her work on commercials includes projects for clients such as YSL, Amazon and DeBeers. In 2022, she sold a series to HBO Max (now Max) based on her adaptation of the YA book <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">. Her forthcoming novel, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">California Girl<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, will be published in the fall, and she is now developing an adaptation of another novel: S.E. Hinton\u2019s <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Some of Tim\u2019s Stories<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">. Awarded an American Film Showcase fellowship, Halpern has taught writing and directing to Jordanians and Syrian refugees in Amman, Jordan. He began his career as a character layout artist for Warner Bros. As an animator and supervising animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios, he worked on projects such as <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Pocahontas<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Hercules<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Fantasia 2000<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">The Tigger Movie. <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Other credits include<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">Warner Bros.\u2019 <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Scooby Doo<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Looney Tunes: Back in Action<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fas well as EA Games\u2019 AAA title\u202f<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Medal of Honor<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">. Until recently, Kuhn served as a professor and chair of animation at Laguna College of Art &amp; Design; he has also taught at California State University Long Beach. Her production company, Lotus Media House, currently produces <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Shoes Off Inside<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, a vodcast that explores the API experience. She has authored two books: <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">May Lee Live and In Person <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">(2009); and <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So You Want to be On Air?<\/span><\/i> <i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A Guide to Anchoring, Hosting, Voice-overs, and More <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">(2023).
