{"id":315,"date":"2011-03-29T09:31:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-29T16:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogschapman.wpenginepowered.com\/dodge\/2011\/03\/29\/insidious-tomorrow\/"},"modified":"2011-03-29T09:31:00","modified_gmt":"2011-03-29T16:31:00","slug":"insidious-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/dodge\/2011\/03\/29\/insidious-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Insidious tomorrow!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Who&#8217;s psyched to get scared?<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow evening, we&#8217;re hosting a very special, pre-release screening of <a href=\"http:\/\/ftv.chapman.edu\/about\/event_calendar\/insidious_pre-release_screening\/\"><em>Insidious,<\/em> at 7:30 in the Folino<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ftv.chapman.edu\/images\/uploads\/blogs\/insidious-poster-450x665.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"665\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The film played at SXSW, <a href=\"http:\/\/ftv.chapman.edu\/life\/blogs\/dodge_college\/reports_from_sxsw\/\">which I recently attended<\/a>, and though I didn&#8217;t get to see any films while I was there, the marketing campaigns for Insidious had the town buzzing!\u00a0 Everyone said it was absolutely terrifying, and while maybe not an &#8220;arthouse&#8221; masterpiece, was thoroughly convincing and just a blast.\u00a0 That is &#8211; if you&#8217;re really into exceptionally scary movies!\u00a0 I also managed to pick up a few free postcard-sized versions of the poster; <a href=\"mailto:parmente@chapman.edu?subject=Free%20Insidious%20postcards%3F\">send me an email<\/a> or stop by MKS262 to pick one up before the show!<\/p>\n<p>Make sure to <a href=\"http:\/\/fs18.formsite.com\/dcfma\/form59\/index.html\">make a reservation<\/a> if you haven&#8217;t yet.<\/p>\n<p>Definitely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidious-movie.com\/\">stop by the website<\/a> or check out the trailer if you aren&#8217;t familiar with the movie:<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t tend to get too frightened at supernatural films like this; aliens are my real weakspot when it comes to terror. The idea of an alien invasion terrifies me.\u00a0 And yes, I was even a little scared in <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1564585\/\">Skyline<\/a><\/em>, although <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1217613\/\">Battle: Los Angeles<\/a><\/em> was a total joke.<\/p>\n<p>What are your favorite suspense\/horror films or subgenres?\u00a0 Anyone totally afraid of supernatural stories going to come out tomorrow night anyways?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who&#8217;s psyched to get scared?
