What is your major and when will you graduate?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Television and Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis in Narrative TV and a minor in Psychology.\u00a0 <\/span>Spring of \u201812<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n What is your ultimate career goal?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n To be an SVP of development at a studio or network. I would also love to then take my experiences to create and produce my own TV series.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n What classes at Chapman have been the most valuable so far in building toward your career goal?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Business of TV, History of TV, Primetime: The Game of Television and Byte-Sized Television 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n What\u2019s the most surprising thing you\u2019ve learned at Chapman so far?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Until Byte-Sized 1, I had no idea someone could make a living from a successful web series!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n What kind of activities outside your classes have been most helpful to your television and film education?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n I just finished an eight month internship with ABC in their drama development and current series departments. This experience helped to bring everything I\u2019d learned in school to life, and it also helped me realize what I want to do in my career.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n What would you want to tell prospective students about the Television and Broadcast Journalism major at Chapman?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Even though being a narrative television emphasis doesn\u2019t require an internship, I implore<\/em> students to at least do one internship before they graduate.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Has the faculty been helpful to you?\u00a0 <\/span>Are they accessible both in and outside of class?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Yes and yes!
