{"id":7912,"date":"2016-03-04T07:44:20","date_gmt":"2016-03-04T15:44:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogschapman.wpenginepowered.com\/dodge\/2016\/03\/04\/orange-is-the-new-hollywood\/"},"modified":"2016-03-04T07:44:20","modified_gmt":"2016-03-04T15:44:20","slug":"orange-is-the-new-hollywood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/dodge\/2016\/03\/04\/orange-is-the-new-hollywood\/","title":{"rendered":"Orange Is The New Hollywood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week in Coast magazine, writer Jan Breslauer wrote about how when she got married, her soon-to-be husband suggested moving AWAY from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, and into the quieter community of Orange County.<\/p>\n<p>While appalled at the idea at the time, and away from being in the heart of her entertainment job,\u00a0 Breslauer realized that was a great choice, because there as just as many people living here in the industry than there are in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>One of the people she profiled for having done the same is Dodge College&#8217;s own Judd Funk.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Film producer Judd Funk is one of those people. For 15 years the head of business affairs for New Line Cinema, Funk has worked on more than 300 films that have earned almost $12.3 billion in box office. \u201cI met a terrific woman, whom I eventually married, who lived in Newport Beach \u2013 behind the Orange Curtain, as she would say \u2013 and refused to leave,\u201d he says. \u201cSo I had to move there.
