Dodge College, the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and California State University, Northridge will exclusively be competing in the UCFTI Film Competition where filmmakers will showcase their best work to top executives from Hollywood and China.&#xD;<br \/>\n&#xD;<br \/>\nThe event will take place from November 2 2016 to November 3, 2016 in downtown Los Angeles at L.A. Live and will include a number of semi-finalists depending on the amount of films submitted to competition. These films will play in competition and then be judged on by a panel of &#x201C;industry judges&#x201D; for<br \/>\n<strong>first place ($5000), second place ($3000), and third place ($2000)<\/strong><br \/>\n. Here are the rules:&#xD;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Entry is <strong>FREE<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<li>You must, at time of entry, be a student at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. If you recently graduated (less than 2 years prior) from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, then you must have been a student when the film was completed.<\/li>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<li>For students that graduated in 2014 and want to submit their thesis films, you MUST submit by your graduation date (i.e. May 22<sup>nd<\/sup> 2016 if you graduated on May 22<sup>nd<\/sup> 2014)<\/li>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<li>Films must have a <strong>completion date of Jan 1, 2014 or later<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<li>Films must be between <strong>5 and 30 minutes<\/strong>, any genre.<\/li>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<li>Films must have been made under a class from Chapman University.<\/li>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<li>Submissions are OPEN and the submission deadline is: <strong>July 31, 2016 11:59 p.m. PST<\/strong><\/li>\n<p>&#xD;<\/p>\n<li>There is a <strong>limit of one Entry per person<\/strong> and per email address and per Film during the Entry Period. In previous years, luminaries have attended and spoken on panels like David Glasser of the Weinstein Company, Mayors Antonio Villaraigosa and Eric Garcetti, producer Nina Yang Bongiovi, and other titans in the industry.
