Steinberg<\/strong> is the Director and Chair of the Werklund Foundation Centre for Youth\u00a0Leadership in Education, and Professor of Youth Studies at the University of Calgary. She is also the\u00a0Director of the Paulo and Nita Freire International Project for Critical Pedagogy. An author and editor\u00a0of over 35 books in critical literacy, critical pedagogy, urban and youth culture, and organizer of the\u00a0Critical Pedagogical Congress, she is committed to a global community of transformative educators\u00a0and community workers engaged in radical love, social justice, and the situating of power within\u00a0social and cultural contexts. Welcome to our newest Chapman CES Faculty Associate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em><br \/>\nPanel Discussants:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Dina Eletreby<\/strong> has been the Head of School for New Horizon Elementary School, Irvine for 7 years\u00a0and an educator for over 20 years. She is an American Muslim of Egyptian descent who was raised in the\u00a0two religiously and culturally different worlds of home and school. Her research focus includes the study\u00a0of American Muslim identity as it relates to communities, families, and the schools that serve them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shabbir Mansuri<\/strong> is the Founder\/CEO of the Institute on Religion and Civic Values. In the K-12 area, the\u00a0organization specializes in world history standards, textbook reviews, and teaching about world religions.\u00a0Mr. Mansuri serves on several educational advisories and is part of the editorial board of the Religion &amp;\u00a0Education journal. He is a passionate speaker on religious liberty issues and he helps create consensus for\u00a0greater religious literacy in our society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi<\/strong> currently works as an Educator and Religious Director of the Islamic Society of\u00a0Orange County where he has served since 1981. He served as the President of the largest national Islamic\u00a0organization, ISNA, from 1996 &#8211; 2000. Currently he is the Chairman of the Fiqh Council of North\u00a0America. He also teaches at the Department of Religion at Chapman University, in Orange, California. Dr.\u00a0Siddiqi lectures on Islam and interfaith dialogue in North America and abroad.
