\nA former collegiate athlete, future school psychologist, and all-around great human being, Tony has joined the
\nCentral American Sports and Education Project <\/em><\/strong>
\nto help bridge the gap between sports and education. The Central America Sports & Education Project is a collaborative effort to improve the quality and accessibility of sports and education in the underserved communities of Central America. Between February 21st and March 9th of 2014, Tony traveled to El Salvador, one of the most gang-violent countries in the world, to host free sports clinics for kids and rebuild a school.

\nKim Dieu (3rd<\/sup> Year)<\/strong>
\n: Kim attended the 2014 Spring Advocacy Training in Washington, D.C., hosted by  the Global Campaign for Education, U.S. Chapter.  In D.C., Kim learned from GCE-US coalition organizations about the work they are doing around the world and met with our California district representative.  Kim applied to the Student Advocacy Training because she wanted to advocate for equal access to quality education for all children and learn how to mobilize her community to help. Advocacy is a valuable tool for change because it enables us to address issues regarding equality and social justice.
