Dr. Miller is also a two-time member of Chapman’s Million Dollar Club for external research funding, with state and federal research grants representing more than $3.5 million throughout her career to date. Her grant projects, both at Chapman and the University of California, Riverside, where she was a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Scholar, have supported numerous students with tuition scholarships, employment, and co-authorship on publications and conference presentations.

Despite her administrative responsibilities, research background, and scholarly work, Dr. Miller considers herself, first and foremost, to be a teacher.
