\"OC<\/a>Four students in Chapman University\u2019s Attallah College of Educational Studies have been awarded the Orange County Community Foundation\u2019s Margaret E. Oser Scholarship: Laura Ceja, Aidee Guerrero, Genesis Hernandez, and Angalina Maldonado. The Chapman students, who are undergraduates majoring in Integrated Educational Studies (IES), were awarded four of the eight total 2021 Oser Scholarships. Each of eight 2021 recipients received $5,000 to cover their educational costs during the 2021-2022 academic year.<\/p>\n

The Orange County Community Foundation<\/a> established the Margaret E. Oser Scholarship Fund<\/a> to support the health, education, and social welfare of women. The scholarship assists women enrolled in an Orange County community college who are planning transfer to a four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year.\u00a0 This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation\u2019s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals.<\/p>\n

All four of the Chapman students are also members of the inaugural cohort of the C-TAG<\/a> (Chapman Transfer Admission Guarantee) for Future Educators program. Chapman\u2019s C-TAG for Future Educators seeks to support future elementary and special education teachers in Orange County transferring from Santiago Canyon College or Santa Ana College. Completion of the C-TAG pathway offers aspiring teachers transferring from SCC or SAC guaranteed admission into the Chapman\u2019s Integrated Educational Studies bachelor\u2019s degree program<\/a>.<\/p>\n
