School Psychology programs,\u201d said Dr. Kennedy. \u201cThis grant will help students pursuing a career in pupil personnel, fund their education and prepare them to make a difference in the schools that need them most.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Who Qualifies for the Golden State Teacher Grant?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students participating in a professional preparation program leading to a California pupil personnel services credential, at a qualifying institution, can apply to the Golden State Teacher Grant Program to receive a one-time grant of up to $10,000. Students must plan to work in a California public school designated as a \u201cpriority school\u201d (see below) for four years after graduation.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Students enrolled in the following Attallah College programs qualify: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MA School Counseling, Ed.S. in School Psychology, Teacher Education &amp; Special Education, MACI (fifth year only).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Enrollment timeline: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students who have applied for enrollment to the designated Attallah College programs, on or after January 1, 2020 are eligible to participate in the grant.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Incoming students:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> CSAC is working to develop a process by which students that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">express interest to enroll in <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a preliminary teaching credential or pupil personnel services credential, may submit a request for a pre-enrollment conditional award notice. This will allow you to plan ahead, so that you can earmark grant funds towards your tuition costs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What Are the Grant Requirements?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before accepting the Golden State Teacher Grant, all pupil personnel applicants must agree to the terms and conditions of the agreement. In addition to completing the program requirements, the agreement requires recipients to fulfill several conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Work at a priority school. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The grant requires students to work in California at a priority school &#8211; and to complete <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 years of service within 4 years of their program completion date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><i> <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctc.ca.gov\/commission\/notices\/gs-teacher-list\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A current list of priority schools is available on the CTC website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Maintain good academic standing.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Grant recipients must maintain good academic standing while they are enrolled in their CTC-approved preparation program. Students must complete their preparation program and earn a preliminary credential within three years after the first distribution of grant funds.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As with most grant agreements, if Golden State Teacher Grant recipients do not fulfill each of these obligations within the allotted time frame, they must repay the grant reward in part or in full. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/gstg.csac.ca.gov\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">See the GSTG website for more details<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What Are the Steps to Apply?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/2020\/04\/03\/attallah-college-receives-full-maximum-seven-year-accreditation\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CTC-accredited institution<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Chapman University\u2019s Attallah College of Educational Studies is proud to be a Golden State Teacher Grant program. Here are the steps to apply for the grant and begin a career in education at Chapman:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Apply to an eligible CTC-approved Attallah College program:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/education\/graduate\/counseling.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MA School Counseling Program<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/education\/graduate\/school-psychology.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ed.S.
