In this new role, Dr. Carriere will take on significant aspects of fieldwork supervision for our School Psychology candidates, in addition to teaching courses in the School Psychology program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6262 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-4.png\" alt=\"Dr. Jared Izumi\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-4.png 250w, https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-4-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/our-faculty\/jared-izumi\">Dr. Jared Izumi<\/a> <\/strong>has joined us as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of School Psychology, coming to us from his previous faculty appointment at the University of Iowa. We are happy to have Dr. Izumi \u2018return home to Chapman,\u2019 as he graduated from Attallah College\u2019s MA\/Ed.S. program in School Psychology before he obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Arizona. Dr. Izumi was also the 2022 Attallah College Distinguished Alumnus Award winner, and we are incredibly excited to have him with us now as a faculty member. We look forward to future developments of his research interests in school mental health, screening for social-emotional and behavioral health risk, and social-emotional learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6263 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-5.png\" alt=\"Dr. Priscilla Liu\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-5.png 250w, https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-5-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/our-faculty\/priscilla-liu\"><b>Dr. Priscilla Liu<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> has joined us for the 2023-24 academic year as Visiting Assistant Professor of Education, emphasizing Qualitative Methodology. Dr. Liu is an educational anthropologist and comes to us from UCLA where she previously worked and completed her dissertation. Dr. Liu is teaching qualitative methods for the Ph.D. in Education program, as well as select undergraduate courses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6264 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-7.png\" alt=\"Dr. Zack Maupin\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-7.png 250w, https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-7-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/our-faculty\/zack-maupin\"><b>Dr. Zack Maupin<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> this year has assumed a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of School Psychology. Dr. Maupin\u2019s new faculty position will include furthering his research interests, which include school attendance, transition services, and evidence-based assessment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6265 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-2.png\" alt=\"Dr. Colette O'Bannion\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-2.png 250w, https:\/\/blogs.chapman.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2023\/10\/Untitled-2-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/our-faculty\/colette-obannion\"><b>Dr. Colette O&#8217;Bannion<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, who has previously served as a part-time lecturer in the Integrated Educational Studies and Teacher Education programs, joined our undergraduate program for the 2023-24 academic year in a limited-term role as Instructional Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Widner previously served as the Interim Director of Leadership Programs at Iowa State University and the Director of their Global Leadership Study Abroad Program. In prior faculty roles, Dr. Widner was the Assistant Director of Leadership Programs at the University of Iowa, Chair of the Leadership Education MIG in the International Leadership Association (ILA), and a lecturer in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego. Dr. Widner graduated from Oklahoma State University with an M.S. in Higher Education Leadership and obtained her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of San
