\"Dr.<\/p>\n

Dr. Jamie D. Gravell<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>
\n
\n<\/span>Dr. Jamie D. Gravell joins Attallah College as an Instructional Assistant Professor of Secondary Education, bringing a strong background in educational technology and urban schooling. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology at California State University – Stanislaus and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Southern Methodist University, where she worked on a research-practice partnership with Dallas ISD. Dr. Gravell holds a Ph.D. in Education from UCLA, focusing on how teachers learn to integrate technology in the classroom. Her research explores the ideologies and practices of civic education in the digital age, building on her experience as a high school social studies teacher in Washington, D.C.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Dr.<\/p>\n

Dr. Corinna Hathuc<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span> \u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>Dr. Corinna <\/span>Hathuc<\/span>, Instructional Assistant Professor of Elementary Education,<\/span> brings over a decade of leadership experience in K-12 education to her role at Attallah College. She has served as an elementary principal, junior high assistant principal, and <\/span>District <\/span>Coordinator of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, where she oversaw<\/span> professional development for 600 teachers. <\/span>Her background includes teaching at the elementary level and mathematics in public and charter schools, <\/span>including two charter schools she opened which later were <\/span>ranked number one in their respective counties for student achievement. <\/span>In addition to a California Multiple Subject and Administrative Services Credential, <\/span>Dr. <\/span>Hathuc<\/span> also <\/span>holds a Gifted and Talented Education Certificate, which has further informed her approach to educational leadership.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Dr.<\/p>\n

Dr. Doug Havard<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Doug Havard, an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods with a joint appointment at the Fowler School of Engineering, specializes in the intersection of education, science, and engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from Chapman University, with an emphasis on Cultural and Curricular Studies. Dr. Havard’s previous experience includes serving as a secondary and postsecondary STEM educator and working as an aerospace engineer, where he contributed to advanced propulsion and laser system development. His research is dedicated to addressing educational inequities through systemic changes in policy and practice. At Chapman, he mentors Ph.D. students and teaches courses such as Quantitative Methods and Research in Learning in the Ph.D. in Education program.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Dr.<\/p>\n

Dr. Andrew Matschiner<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Andrew Matschiner joins Attallah College as an Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies, bringing extensive expertise in educational leadership. He will teach courses and advise in the Ph.D. in Education program\u2019s Leadership Emphasis and teach on a limited basis in the master\u2019s and undergraduate leadership programs. Dr. Matschiner earned his Ph.D. in Education from the University of California San Diego and holds an M.Ed. and a School Administration and Supervision certificate from Johns Hopkins University. Before joining Chapman, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership at Miami University in Ohio. Dr. Matschiner\u2019s research focuses on racial equity in P\u201312 education, using qualitative methods to analyze the role of equity directors in school districts. His work has been published in leading journals, including the <\/span>Review of Educational Research<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Urban Education<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
