Chapman University\u2019s Attallah College of Educational Studies proudly welcomes its newest cohort of initiates into the Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) International Honor Society in Education. The Chi Beta Chapter at Chapman is guided by chapter advisor Dr. Kristen Doorn, instructional assistant professor, and led by President Eliza Wenger and Vice President Kathryn Treat.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The chapter is supported by a dedicated student leadership board for the 2024\u201325 academic year:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Founded in 1911, KDP is an international honor society that recognizes the top 20% of students entering the field of education. Chapman\u2019s Chi Beta Chapter supports aspiring educators, counselors, school psychologists, and other education professionals through networking opportunities, philanthropic initiatives, and leadership development.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Membership benefits include access to nationwide networking events, career resources, member-exclusive scholarships, and a supportive community of peers and professionals across the education field.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Attallah College congratulates the 29 new initiates on joining a network of more than 35,000 members across 700 chapters, making KDP the largest international honor society in education.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally established at Chapman in 1996, the Chi Beta Chapter reactivated in 2014 and has since earned international recognition for its commitment to excellence in education. The chapter upholds KDP\u2019s core values of excellence, integrity, expertise, equity, diversity, and empathy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
