prestigious professional associations of its kind, Dr. Brian Alters, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/CES\/\" target=\"_blank\">College of Educational Studies<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chapman.edu\/scs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Schmid College of Science and Technology<\/a>, gave the closing plenary lecture to the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sicb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology<\/a> (SICB) which was formed in 1902.\u00a0 Dr. Alters delivered the John Moore Lecture in South Carolina at the annual SICB meeting; his talk was
